This video demonstrates a P10 LED scrolling display project. The exact wiring, driver board, and scrolling method depend on the panel and controller used in the build, so check your module labels and documentation before applying power.
Plan the panel and controller
Before connecting the display, identify the panel’s connector pinout, scan configuration, controller, and compatible software library. Panels that look similar can require different mappings or initialization settings. Use the exact controller and library settings shown in the project video only when your hardware matches.
Power and first test
- Use a regulated supply that matches the display panel’s stated voltage and current requirements; do not power a large LED panel from an Arduino board’s 5 V output.
- Observe connector polarity and the panel’s specified logic connections. Join signal grounds where the controller documentation requires it.
- Start with a short test pattern and low brightness, then check orientation, color order, scan behavior, and text direction.
- If the panel flickers or resets, check the supply, cable length, grounding, and controller timing before changing the display code.
This page is a video walkthrough, not a universal P10 wiring diagram. Confirm the panel model and controller before copying a pin map or library configuration.
